My question is, where does word store these Autocorrect entries? Are they stored in the document or in the document template? The only explanation for the behavior that I observed might be that the Autocorrect entries might be stored in the document template. I looked in the Autocorrect entries table and all of my custom formatted entries are missing! Now, one week later, I try using Autocorrect to insert these formatted formulae and it doesn't work. I saved a document list with all of my formatted formulae entries because based on past experience, I don't trust the stability of Word. I tested these additions in a blank document and Autocorrect appeared to be making appropriate substitutions. Specifically I was entering formatted chemical formulae, with various subscripted and superscripted characters. Very recently, I added a set of commonly encountered (in my writing) chemical formulae, complete with formatting, to the Autocorrect table. My setup is this:ġ5 inch MacBook Pro 2018 (Touch Bar type) I am trying to write a doctoral dissertation on a Macintosh computer, using a Office 365 subscription version of Word.
